HealBridge does not ask for money first. It asks for the things a woman needs in order to leave and to stay left: work, a roof, treatment, and someone qualified to tell her where she stands.
A job
Paid work with a contract, and a manager who knows not to confirm her address to a caller.
A tenancy
A roof in her own name, with no guarantor demanded. That is what makes leaving permanent.
Healthcare
Treatment for injuries, and for the conditions that went unseen and untreated for years.
Counselling
Trauma-informed sessions for women, and separately for the children who watched it happen.
Legal advice
An hour of your time on protection orders, custody, or a marriage that needs unpicking.
Training
An apprenticeship, a course place, or the training behind her next job.

HealBridge works with women and children leaving domestic abuse in Nigeria. We are not here to judge anyone’s marriage or to tell anyone what to do about it. Most of the women who come to us stay, at least at first, and the support does not depend on that decision.

The questions we are asked most, answered plainly.
Get help nowWill you tell anyone that I contacted you?
No. We do not contact your husband, your family, your employer or the police unless you ask us to. We hold as little information about you as we can, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
What if I am not ready to leave?
Then you are not leaving. Most of the women we work with stay, at least at first. We will help you make yourself and your children safer where you are, and we will still be here if that changes.
How do I contact you without it being seen?
Every page here has a Quick Exit button at the top right, and pressing E three times does the same thing. It cannot erase pages visited before arriving, so use private browsing where you can. We reply by whichever method is safest for you.
What does it cost?
Nothing. We do not ask a woman for money at any point, and we never will.
